Brittle stars baking on salmon reefs;
Mock adornments to faded frizzies of rust.
She is a statue mortified via lost motifs
Decoring the crescent shore -- soon to return to dust.
Holding onto empty oaths in the hollows,
The forsaken dagger has lost its gleam.
Lone copper molds of forgone morrows,
Frost on the moon blights her dream.
Eternally waiting as dawn draws nigh;
A lonely call across the ocean stretch.
Smudged across the callous lips a fair sigh;
Stranded raiment, remains of a wretch.
Even the anguish runs idle amidst the barren tears;
Her love, a perpetual idol beyond the piers.
