Profession

How majestic is Your name in all the earth, O Lord,
You are lovelier than the heralding of the spring,
Your light, brighter than a thousand dawns.
You rain our hearts with the joy of Your salvation,
And shower upon us the rays of Your infinite love.
Ruling with a perfect authority as terrible as the thunder,
And comforting us with a peace so tender.
You have placed songs on the lips of the psalmists,
And graced my own to sing Your praise.
What is man that You care for him?
For a life is naught but a frail jar of clay,
Later to be shattered, to return to dust.
