Night Twinkles

Heavy-dewed grass blades bite,

Raw ground here below my spine.

Thin breaths evanesce into wintry skies,

Sable blankets dotted with many a silver sequin.

Catching cosmic dusts in naked fovea nets,

City glows obscure my vision.

Quick tails of white disappear in a blink,

While a garnet blob of airship races across the Milky Way.

Cautious shutter quietly snaps and shuts,

Shooting stars in fleeting seconds.

When impeccable aims go amiss,

I reach out

And pull one down for you.
