Reflection on the blades of winter

Every so often we make the mistakes of focusing on the lesser important details of Christian dogma. While accuracy is important, it tends to distract us from the supreme importance of loving God and our neighbors with all our hearts and souls and minds. Hence my prayer today is that God will strengthen us to observe as thus:

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." - Matthew 6:33

Moving aside, what an amazing weather. It makes you feel nostalgic and warm and kind inside. All at once. (Whatever that means.) So often I make the mistake of forgetting to thank God for normalcy of things -- lack of physical illnesses, shelters to pray and sleep in, food and weather to enjoy, teachers to admonish and mold us, etc etc etc. It truly is a cherishing thought. The weather -- being such a refresher -- helps to reflect upon yourself.

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse [for not worshiping Him]." - Romans 1:20
