Health Department. What a place to be in on a weekend.
Right across the room, a Middle Eastern couple awkwardly sat. They seemed to be tired. The woman’s dark hair was concealed under the veil of colors that changed every time she moved her head just slightly. The curly haired baby on her lap was fast asleep.
From another corner, a group of perky teenagers chatted incessantly and rather annoyingly. Their short shorts and summer colored tank tops merely neglected the chaos of the room.
In the other corner the street gangs sat. Baby blue bandanas carelessly cast about their heads, their deep bass drum-like voices barely discernible in the air.
Everyone has become prone to this -- totally oblivious of his/her surroundings, so occupied with their own businesses, they fail to notice how much there is to notice in ordinary.
