Many of you often ask, "How are you?"
Well, I am well in the fullest sense of the word, praise be to God. He is redeeming, completing, and advancing my human experience day by day, and two of His gifts to me in particular have been influential during these past two months--marriage and a child. I lay in bed last night dwelling on His goodness to me in these, and could not fall asleep until writing about it! May God use it to edify you and encourage you to reflect on His goodness to you.
"The Church's one Foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord,
She is His new creation by water and the Word,
From heaven He came and sought her to be His holy bride,
With His own blood He bought her, and for her life He died."

Gifts too Wonderful
Marriage--
What a wondrous gift from God.
How gracious of our heavenly Father
To allow two sinful humans to come together
To model His relationship with His Bride, the Church!
For a husband to love his bride as Christ loves the Church,
To forgive her while she's still in her sins,
To pursue her when she mocks his kindness,
To love her when she threatens to kill,
To give up his life for her.
For a wife to submit to her husband as she submits to Christ,
To experience depths of Christ's love for her,
To be humbled by the forgiveness undeservingly given,
Thus to serve him joyfully with every fiber of her being,
To heighten her joy in her submission to him.
To together taste the joy of future union with Christ,
What calls to self-sacrifice!
What tools of sanctification!
What pictures of redemption!
What a wondrous gift!
Children--
What a wondrous gift from God.
To taste the bitterness of sin in birth pangs,
To know the limits of mortal body in sheer exhaustion,
To give oneself wholly in the service of another so selfish,
To know the love of God unchanging and so deep.
Oh,
What calls to self-denial,
What roads of sanctification,
What knowledge of redemption,
What wondrous gifts of God.
What wondrous gifts of God.

May you have a truly blessed Thanksgiving.
Awesomeness.
