Is it such a big matter? If those books are included, will you read them more as to sanctify yourself? Why don't we just include all the words of the past and present popes as well as the books of all Christian authors ever?
So do tell me; what constitutes a "good Christian"? Can one call oneself a good Christian unless one be God? The group's description is sad.
What would Jesus have one do instead of merely talk about theology?
Spiritual elitists are annoying, no matter which denomination they are from. That's exactly what Paul and John warn us against.
"Nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith." - 1 Timothy 1:4
Of course, I am guilty of this very thing that I am annoyed with. I'm not saying that theology isn't important, but really, why can't we be friends, why can't we be friends...
"The United Nations reports that over ten thousand people starve to death each day, and most of you don't give a shit. However, what is even more tragic is that most of you are more concerned about the fact that I just said a bad word than the fact that ten thousand people are going to die today." - Tony Campolo
Ouch.
