"If you are not actively seeking good, you will only slip backwards."
I feel that I have been quite immature in my speech and actions recently. (Hence the lack of coherent reflections which seek to edify... The posts in April have been mostly rants and lols; it's probably a red flag.) Forgive me for acting indifferent and/or immature towards some of you.
It's my failure to continually immerse myself in the Word. Oh, and not enough praying too I guess. It's funny how I give schoolwork as an excuse, because I've found (in comparing this semester and other semesters) that I work better when I actually do keep in closer communion with God. Also, in doing that, more joy and fruition that come to pass in my fellowship with others... Cliché? Maybe. But it hits so square and rings so true.
"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." - Matt 6:33
Well I know that. The Truth is so simple and yet -- yet so damned difficult. (Pardon me.) I deliberately sin, and I am aware because I painfully have come to grips with the Truth. Now, why can't I come to grips with my sin and conquer it as I should? Why must my flesh be so weak?
As for you;
"Do not judge men by mere appearances; for the light laughter that bubbles on the lip often mantles over the depths of sadness, and the serious look may be the sober veil that covers a divine peace and joy." - Edward Chapin
With that quote, I am not trying to gain your attention or sympathy for myself. Please though, just contemplate that, and see to it that you practice sensitivity to all men. Believe it or not, Christians are humans. I feel that sometimes we fail to reach out to our own because we are so concerned with serving the outside community.
As for the purpose of this post;
Not to make an emo post out of this or anything. I needed to face it publicly before I didn't feel convicted anymore. Thank you for being patient with me.
